LANDLOCKED by Jay Carlon
Jay Carlon will be choreographing and performing a new contemporary dance work called "Landlocked" at BangkokEdge with collaboration from Bangkok City Ballet and DD Flection. "Landlocked" takes inspiration from his multi-cultural experience as a 1st generation youth growing up in urban America and speaks to the inherent trauma of being third culture in a migrant family.
This performance is facilitated by his current artist-in-residence with Creative Migration, an arts foundation of Thailand. Stage props used will be specifically designed and built by Space Saloon, an international Architect's Association. "Landlocked" will only be performed in Thailand at BangkokEdge for free on 2 February at 5pm, and a ticketed full-version of the production will be held on 7 & 8 February at Bangkok 1899.
