At Social Edge, meet some of the city’s most dynamic social organizations running cutting-edge programs that seek to redefine how citizens engage with the world, dealing with topics ranging from protecting the environment to celebrating the arts. 

  • Precious Plastic Bangkok (PPB) will run hands-on workshops showing how its machines recycle plastic trash into useful new products.

  • Fashion Revolution will be there for a fun clothing swap! Bring clean clothes you no longer use and possibly swap it for something new!

  • Na Cafe will have Zero Waste drinks and snacks available.

  • Na Projects will run natural indigo dyeing sessions to show how we can upcycle our worn-out clothes. Clothes from the swap may be used!

  • Creative Migration (East) will share ways to get involved with community arts. 

  • Scholars of Sustenance will demonstrate how to compost food scraps to create fertilizer.

  • Love Wildlife will teach families about biodiversity, wildlife conservation, Thailand-based whale watching at their interactive, family-friendly booth.

  • Urban Studies Lab (USL) will run a mapmaking session to show how they help Bangkok communities unlock the beautiful potential in their neighborhoods.

  • Soi wants to collect your data on what books you have read to create a “Book Trail’ map of Bangkok! Come talk about what your reading with this new publishing and writing house.

  • Baht by Baht helps businesses and individuals transform even the smallest donations into a truly big impact.

Most of these NGO’s can be found running innovative programs year-round in the collaborative community center, The Ford Resource and Engagement Center, or at Bangkok 1899, a new social engagement art space – both located in the historic Nang Loeng neighborhood!
