Emma Larkin 

Emma Larkin is the pen name of an American journalist who was born and raised in Asia, studied Burmese language at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, and has covered Asia widely in her journalism from her base in Bangkok, Thailand. Her best-known book is Finding George Orwell in Burma.
