Born in 1964, Jakapan received a B.F.A. in sculpture from Silpakorn University, Bangkok and studied art in Karlsruhe, Germany. His works have been included in group exhibitions in Thailand since the early 1980s and are increasingly seen in other Southeast Asian countries. He lives and works in Bangkok and teaches at Silpakorn University, being head of the sculpture department.
He has organised workshops throughout Southeast Asia and is currently working on using art to regenerate threatened neighbourhoods. He will participate in the panel Gentrification - Who benefits? and run a workshop titled Voices from the Community.
