Timo Ojanen

 

Timo Ojanen comes from Finland and has lived in Thailand for the past 10 years. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Department of Society and Health, Mahidol University, and has a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of East London and an MSc in Counseling Psychology from Assumption University. He has conducted research on violence, bullying, gender and sexuality-related topics in Thailand; his primary research interests concern LGBT sensitivity in counseling and health care. He is involved in LGBT rights advocacy, providing information about these issues, through the Foundation for SOGI Rights and Justice as well as the B-Change Foundation. He will be part of the Is Bangkok really a gay paradise? panel
